Rest
Still the mind and restore the spirit
The Rest ritual is perhaps the most important of the five — and the most neglected. In a culture that equates busyness with value, the act of resting with full intention is a radical one. This is not the rest that happens when you collapse from exhaustion. This is rest as a practice — deliberate, prepared, sacred. The Rest ritual is the act of putting down everything the day has asked of you and returning to yourself.
How to perform the Rest ritual
The Rest ritual belongs to the evening. Begin at least an hour before you want to sleep — rest cannot be rushed. Draw your bath first, before anything else, because the ritual begins the moment the water runs. Add the bath salts as it fills. Dim every light you can. Place your affirmation card somewhere you can read it from the water.
- 01 Draw the bath before anything else — the ritual begins when the water runs
- 02 Add two generous handfuls of Himalayan Bath Salts as the bath fills
- 03 Light the Lavender incense or a candle beside the bath
- 04 Place your affirmation card where it is visible from the water
- 05 Soak for a minimum of 20 minutes — the minerals need time. Rest 10 minutes after before sleep
Everything you need for the Rest practice
“I give myself full permission to rest. I release the day with gratitude. In stillness, I am restored. Tomorrow begins in tonight's peace.”
This affirmation card is hand-selected and included with every Rest ritual product. It is chosen specifically for this practice — not randomly. Read it aloud before you begin, three times. Once to hear it. Twice to feel it. Three times to let it settle.
