Every Avyaya product is made by hand with sacred intention and checked carefully before it leaves our studio. If something arrives damaged or wrong, we will make it right — unconditionally.
1. What We Accept Returns For
We accept returns and offer full replacements or refunds in the following situations:
- Damaged on arrival — product or packaging is damaged during transit
- Wrong item received — you received a different product from what you ordered
- Defective product — a manufacturing defect is present (e.g., candle won’t light, diya is cracked)
2. What We Cannot Accept Returns For
Because our products are handmade cosmetics and personal care items, we are unable to accept returns in the following situations for hygiene and safety reasons:
- Opened or used soaps, bath salts, or incense
- Change of mind after purchase
- Variation in colour, texture, or fragrance intensity — these are natural properties of handmade products and not defects
- Items purchased on sale or at a discounted price (unless damaged or defective)
- Affirmation cards (these are personalised per ritual and cannot be returned)
3. How to Raise a Return Request
If your order qualifies for a return, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Contact us within 7 days of delivery — email hello@avyayarituals.com or WhatsApp +91 89561 63700
- Step 2: Share your order number and clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect item
- Step 3: Our team will respond within 24 hours to confirm eligibility and next steps
- Step 4: If approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup or ask you to ship the item back depending on your location
Requests raised after 7 days of the delivery date will not be eligible for a return or refund.
4. Replacements
In most cases, we offer a free replacement of the original product as our preferred resolution. The replacement will be dispatched within 3–5 business days of approving your return. If the product is out of stock, we will offer a store credit or a full refund.
5. Refunds
If a replacement is not possible or not preferred, we will issue a full refund:
- Online payments (Razorpay/PayPal): Refunded to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. Your bank may take additional time to process the credit.
- Cash on Delivery orders: Refunded via bank transfer or UPI. We will collect your bank details via email.
- Shipping charges are refunded only if the return is due to our error (wrong item or defective product).
6. International Returns
For international orders (UK, UAE, USA, Canada, Australia), we follow the same 7-day window for raising return requests. However, return shipping costs for international orders are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of damaged or wrong items where we will cover the cost. Please do not ship items back without written confirmation from us first.
7. Exchanges
We do not offer direct product exchanges at this time. If you would like a different product, please raise a return for the eligible item and place a new order for the product you want.
8. Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placing them, provided they have not yet been dispatched. To cancel, email us immediately at hello@avyayarituals.com with your order number. Once an order is dispatched, it cannot be cancelled — the return process applies instead.

If anything about your Avyaya experience is not right — whether it is a damaged product, a delayed delivery, or simply not what you expected — please reach out to us before leaving a review.
