Our Story

Born from devotion.
Made with intention.

Avyaya Rituals began not in a boardroom, but in a quiet morning — with a bar of soap, a candle, and the belief that the most ordinary act of self-care can become something sacred.

Aparajita Singh, Founder of Avyaya Rituals
The beginning

A homemaker from Dehradun who never stopped asking — what if this could be more?

Aparajita Singh grew up in the mountains of Dehradun, where ritual was not a concept — it was simply how life was lived. Morning prayers, the scent of incense, the careful placing of a diya before the day began. These were not performances. They were the architecture of the day.

After completing her education in Kanpur and returning to life as a homemaker, Aparajita found her devotion deepening — not just spiritually, but practically. She began making soaps by hand. Then bath salts. Then candles. Then incense. Each one made with the same intention she brought to her daily rituals: slowly, carefully, and with full presence.

"I never thought of these as products. They were an extension of my practice — and I wanted to share that with people who would understand."

In March 2026, Avyaya Rituals was born. Not as a business plan, but as a belief — that a handmade bar of soap infused with sacred intention could genuinely change the quality of someone's morning. And that the people who understood that were worth making it for.

The Avyaya ritual

The affirmation card — the heart of every order

Every Avyaya order arrives with an affirmation card. Not chosen randomly, not generated by an algorithm — hand-selected for the ritual you are beginning. This was not a branding decision. It was a personal one.

Aparajita had worked with affirmations in her own practice for years — not as wish lists or positive thinking exercises, but as genuine anchors for the day. She knew from her own experience which affirmations shifted something, and which ones rang hollow. The ones that worked were specific, embodied, and spoken aloud.

" An Avyaya affirmation

I am worthy of sacred care. I honour my body, my mind, and my spirit with every intentional act of self-love. My ritual practice is a gift I give myself every day.

When the first Avyaya orders went out, Aparajita selected each card herself — considering the ritual, the intention, the moment. That practice continues today. It is the most personal thing we do, and the thing we will never automate.

The craft

Made slowly, in small batches, with the right intention

Every Avyaya product is made by hand in Aparajita's home studio — a space she has deliberately shaped as an extension of her devotional practice. Before production begins, the space is cleansed and a diya is lit. The day's intention is set. Only then does the making begin.

This is not a factory. There are no production lines, no minimum batch sizes driven by economics, no cutting of corners to improve margin. Each batch is small because it has to be — the process requires full presence, and full presence cannot be scaled indefinitely.

Every bar of soap, every candle, every diya set carries the energy of the moment it was made. That is not a marketing claim. That is simply how it works.

The result is a product that feels different — not just in texture or fragrance, but in the quality of stillness it carries. Many of our customers notice it without knowing why. Now you know why.

The ingredients

We visit our suppliers. We know where everything comes from.

Pure ingredients are non-negotiable at Avyaya — not as a marketing position, but as a consequence of making products for sacred practice. You cannot build a ritual around something impure. Every key ingredient is sourced directly, which is why our products cost what they cost.

Aparajita at the spice market sourcing the ingredients

Kashmiri Kesar

Grade A · Kashmir, India

Only genuine Grade A Kashmiri saffron — never artificial extract, never traded kesar from other origins. Sourced directly. A symbol of divine abundance in temple offerings for centuries, and the ingredient that gives the Swarna Shuddhi Bar its golden intention.

Erode Turmeric

Single-origin · Erode, Tamil Nadu

The turmeric capital of the world. Single-origin from Erode farmers — the same haldi used in weddings, pujas, and healing ceremonies across India for thousands of years. The kind that has been passed through generations, not optimised for colour uniformity.

Himalayan Pink Salt

Himalayas

From the Himalayan Mines, formed 500 million years ago. Containing 84 trace minerals. Sourced for its purity and its depth, not its price point.

Frankincense

Boswellia · Traditional sourcing

Used in temple purification rituals for thousands of years across Egypt, India, and the Middle East. Sourced for its elevating quality — the fragrance that signals to the body and mind that something sacred is about to begin.

Damask Rose Petals

Harvested at dawn · Traditional method

Harvested at dawn when fragrance peaks — the same practice used in the world's finest rose oil distilleries. In Vedic and Sufi traditions, rose is the flower of the heart chakra. Placed at the centre of rituals of love and healing for centuries.

Panchgavya

Traditional Vedic preparation · India

The five sacred products of the cow, prepared in the traditional Vedic method. Used in Hindu ritual for thousands of years — in temple abhisheka, sacred fire ceremonies, and the preparation of ritual objects. Sourced from practitioners who still hold this knowledge.

Why Avyaya

This is not for everyone. It was never meant to be.

Avyaya — अव्यय — means eternal, unchanging, limitless in Sanskrit. The word arrived and stayed. Not as a brand name chosen from a shortlist, but as a recognition — this is what we believe you are, at your deepest level. That is what these rituals are for. To return you to that.

Our ingredients are pure. Our process is unhurried. Our margins reflect both. Avyaya is not a budget brand and will never become one — because the people we make these products for understand that purity has a price, and that a ritual built on compromise is no ritual at all.

For those who follow their practice

Women and men between 25 and 45 who already understand what it means to set an intention — who do not need to be convinced that ritual matters. They are looking for products worthy of the practice they already have.

For those seeking sacred self-love

People who understand that caring for themselves is not indulgence — it is the foundation of everything else. Who know that five intentional minutes in the morning can change the quality of an entire day. Who pour into themselves so they can pour into the world.

For those who seek genuine calm

The professionals, the parents, the seekers — those who have tried everything the wellness industry offers and found most of it hollow. Who want something that is rooted, ancient, and real. Who want the calm that comes not from escape, but from return.
